GoldMail is creating a new global messaging category - the voiceover visual messages category.
With our easy-to-use software, GoldMail lets business people quickly and easily create personal and powerful messages by recording their voice over content from the web, PowerPoint and other programs, PDF and Text documents, and image files, like JPGs), which they send as a link in their email.
Our mission at GoldMail is to bring your messages to life.
And we believe that one day, everyone who sends or posts messages online will use GoldMail.

Our Executive Management Team
David A. Simpson - Co-Founder / Chairman of the Board
David's most recent work has been for communications and energy companies (start-ups and Fortune 500s) for which he has served as legal counsel, strategic adviser, board member, and interim CEO. David has also been an investigative reporter for two major daily newspapers, founded the largest U.S. association of internet service providers, and co-founded a consulting company which specialized in green technology. David holds a BA in French Literature and European History from Williams College, an MA in Politics and Philosophy from University College, Oxford and a JD from Golden Gate University School of Law. He is vice-president of the Board of Directors of Aim High (www.aimhigh.org).
Tom Hakel - Chief Executive Officer / Co-Founder / Director
In addition to co-founding GoldMail, Tom most recently served as General Manager for Stags Leap Wine Cellar (Napa, CA) and helped orchestrate the sale of the company in September 2007 to Michelle-Antinori for $185 million. He has enjoyed many successes in growing, restructuring and advising enterprises in telecommunications, technology and financial services. Tom is also a former manager in the KPMG Consulting Practice and has a degree in computer science.
Chuck Mache - Chief Revenue Officer
Chuck has spent a quarter-century building and leading organizations with a specialty in highly competitive industries. He led the transition of Benchmark Lending Group from a mortgage broker to a full mortgage bank, dramatically increasing its loan portfolio to over $600 million annually. As Executive VP of Sales for American Home Shield, Chuck grew revenues from $6M to $125M in ten years, forming strategic partnerships with other market leaders and restructuring sales teams during acquisitions. He is Chairman of the Board of American TonerServ Corp., the founder of Chuck Mache Communications and is the author of the best-selling book, The Four Kinds of Sales People.
Anthony Lackey - Senior VP, Technology
Anthony is a former CTO at Fortune 1000 company ABM industries with over twenty years of highly successful technology and operating experience.
Mark Pierce - VP, Business Development
As Vice President of Business Development, Mark is building the partner ecosystem and direct selling organization that will fuel GoldMail's business. Mark has a long history of successful sales and business development experience, most recently as a leader within Microsoft's Unified Communications Group. Prior to that Mark led sales and business development efforts for a division of DoubleClick (now part of Google).
Tom Holownia - VP, Marketing
Tom brings over 20 years of marketing and branding experience from client-side positions at Unilever and AirTouch Cellular, and creative service positions at Young & Rubicam Advertising and Addis. Prior to joining GoldMail, Tom was President of the brand strategy firm, Blended Thinking.
Michael Skeate - VP, Product Development
Michael has worked in the Silicon Valley software industry for over 20 years holding executive positions in both product development and software engineering. Prior to joining GoldMail, Michael co-founded a management consulting firm and spent six years advising CxO and Director-level executives on Information Technology.

Phillip DeMaria
Phillip DeMaria has been an independent investor and advisor since 1996, most recently focused on restaurant companies and real estate. Phil has been an advisor to GoldMails predecessor, Accerra, Inc. from the beginning and has advised numerous small businesses in the area of capitalization, finance, business focus and planning, merger and divestiture. He brings a depth of senior management experience from his corporate background where he has held such positions as Senior Vice President and head of all real estate lending for Bank of California and Division President of BA Mortgage and International Realty and a Senior Vice President of Bank of America.
Eric J. Pyenson - Vice President / General Counsel, A123 Systems, Inc.
Eric Pyenson has over 20 years of legal, business development, and international experience in technology. Prior to his legal and business career, he worked for the U.S. government in Washington, DC and overseas, focusing on counter-terrorism. Before joining A123 Systems, Inc., Eric established the in-house legal departments at several Boston-area software start-ups, including Authoria, Excara and Open Market, where he helped lead that companys successful IPO in May 1996. Eric received his B.A. degree from Williams College, an M.A. degree in international relations from the University of Sussex, England and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.

Marty Abbott and Tom Keeven
Marty is a technology and business executive with experience in Fortune 500 and internet startup companies. He was formerly the COO of Quigo, an advertising technology startup. Marty spent nearly 6 years at eBay as VP of Operations, VP of Operations and IT and finally SVP of Technology/CTO during which time he was also a member of eBays executive staff. Tom is a veteran IT and technology executive with both Fortune 500 executive and startup executive experience. Tom's experience includes 6 years at eBay where he was VP of Infrastructure, VP of Operations and VP of Architecture. Marty and Tom now run www.akf-consulting.com.
Jeff Ballowe
Before leaving Ziff Davis at the end of 1997, Ballowe led the launches of 5 magazines, ZDNet on the Web, ZDTV (now TechTV), and the initial ZD/Softbank investments in Yahoo!, Inc. Currently he serves as a director of Verticalnet and Onvia.com. He is the co-founder and past President of the not-for-profit Electronic Literature Organization
Tim Dailey
Tim has been an investment banker for 17 years. He founded ClearCreek Partners in 1999 to provide advisory services to high tech companies. Before ClearCreek, he worked at Shoreline Pacific, JP Morgan and Dillon Read. Tim is a frequent speaker on raising venture capital and is a director of three privately held companies.
John Elkins
John retired in October 2007 from Visa International where he served as Executive Vice President since April 2003. In this role, Mr. Elkins oversaw worldwide strategic brand planning and research for one of the worlds most recognized brands, formulating innovative global strategic marketing partnerships and alliances, coordinating internal and external corporate communications worldwide, managed Visa's Global Olympic and FIFA sponsorships, and was responsible for managing Visas global corporate reputation. During his tenure, the company experienced annual worldwide sales volume exceeding $4.5 trillion, compared to $2.476 trillion in 2002. Mr. Elkins was instrumental in forming strategic partnerships vital to Visas ongoing corporate reputation. These relationships included work with the United Nations to develop microfinance activities in developing markets, as well as the creation of a multi-year agreement with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) to help educate and develop credit bureaus in more than 10 emerging markets. Additionally, Mr. Elkins has overseen the expansion of Visas financial literacy efforts across more than 20 countries. Mr Elkins also serves on the Board of FINCA, on the WTTC Executive Committee and on The World Economic Forums Executive Committee for Travel and Tourism. Mr. Elkins has a BEd from the University of Exeter, England and an MSc from the University of Oregon.
Guy Longworth
Born and raised in the North West of England, Guy moved to California after 18 years working in the UK in a variety of sales and marketing roles for Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, Kelloggs and Marlow Foods. In his most recent executive roles, Guy served as CMO for both Kelloggs and Marlow Foods for the UK and Ireland.
Jeffery Merrihue
Jeffrey is the Chief Executive Officer of Accenture Marketing Sciences where he oversees a group of over 350 marketing professionals providing consulting services and thought leadership to many of the leading Global Chief Marketing Officers.
Klaus Oestermann
Klaus Oestermann is group vice president and general manager of the Application Networking Group for Citrix. He is responsible for the group's revenue attainment and product marketing, product management, development and strategic direction. Prior to this role, Oestermann was Citrix area vice president for the Western Region of the United States and responsible for revenues generated in the 13 western states, as well as Citrix's business development, marketing and support organizations there. Oestermann has been with Citrix for 7 years and held various other positions within the company, including sales director for the Nordic Region of Europe, senior director of worldwide channel strategies and development, and senior director of enterprise & ISV partners.
Oestermann has more than 20 years' experience in the IT industry. Before joining Citrix, he was managing director/CEO at CMA Systems, Denmark. He also worked for IBM Corp. in a variety of roles. He holds a Bachelors degree - HD Business Diploma Degree in Marketing Management & International Trade from Copenhagen Business School, as well as an Academy Economist degree in Marketing and Service Management.
Jeff Rabin
In 2005, having spent his entire career in the financial world, Mr. Rabin decided to follow his passion and joined Christie's as a Wine Specialist. Mr. Rabin began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. with a focus on financial institutions. Mr. Rabin also ran trading globally for the trillion dollar asset manager, Barclays Global Investors (BGI). He left BGI to join the hedge fund side of the business which ultimately led to the creation of his own firm, Rebus Capital LLC.
Rick Sheldon
Rick is the co-founder and managing partner of Intelisys Corp. Intelisys, a GoldMail distribution partner, is one of the leading communications sales agencies in the US, managing over 350 distributors representing approximately 40,000 businesses.
